Lead our curriculum team and personally develop high quality OC and Selective preparation materials, while coordinating specialists across our other programs.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced OC and Selective preparation educator and curriculum leader to take ownership of these programs and lead the wider curriculum content team.

You will personally write, review and improve course materials, drawing on a strong understanding of NSW Opportunity Class and Selective high school entry preparation. You will also set priorities, develop contributors and build reliable processes for producing accurate, engaging materials on time.

Your hands-on subject focus will be OC and Selective preparation. Across secondary mathematics and other subjects, you will lead employees, consultants and contractors with the relevant expertise, coordinating their work and ensuring appropriate specialist review.

What you will do

- Personally create and improve OC and Selective preparation lessons, practice questions, worked solutions, explanations and assessments.

- Review accuracy, clarity, question design and level of challenge, ensuring materials reflect the skills and demands of the relevant NSW placement tests.

- Set curriculum priorities and manage the development schedule for new courses, revisions and regular content updates.

- Lead, recruit and develop content creators, proofreaders, solution writers and video solution creators, including consultants and contractors.

- Prepare clear briefs, allocate work, provide constructive feedback and hold contributors accountable for quality and deadlines.





- Coordinate subject specialists across other programs, ensuring technical content is reviewed by contributors with the appropriate expertise.

- Establish consistent standards and practical processes for authoring, proofreading, approving and publishing materials.

- Work with teaching and operations teams to resolve content issues and use tutor and student feedback to improve materials.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience.

- Deep expertise in NSW OC and Selective preparation, including the question styles, required skills and appropriate level of challenge.

- Demonstrated experience creating, reviewing or substantially improving OC and Selective preparation resources, with excellent attention to accuracy.

- The ability and willingness to personally write detailed questions, solutions and clear explanations across the OC and Selective curriculum.

- Sound judgement in curriculum design, assessment and how to build students' understanding and reasoning skills.

- Experience leading a team or managing curriculum contributors, with the ability to give clear direction and useful feedback.

- Robust planning and communication skills,



with the ability to manage several projects and coordinate specialists across different subjects.

Desirable experience

- Experience teaching or tutoring students preparing for NSW OC and Selective placement tests.

- Experience in tutoring, educational publishing or education technology.

- Experience commissioning or managing work from consultants, contractors or freelance writers.

What this role offers

This is an opportunity to combine OC and Selective content development with leadership of an existing curriculum function. You will have ownership of curriculum priorities and review standards, and direct influence on the materials used by our students and tutors.

Alpha One Coaching College is part of AOK Group, alongside Knoji Tuition. Our tutoring programs support primary and secondary students across Sydney, including students preparing for OC and Selective entry. We work closely with our tutors and content contributors to develop materials that are clear, accurate and useful in the classroom.

Working relationships

- Directly manages: course content creators, proofreaders, solution writers and video solution creators

- Works closely with: operations and teaching teams

- Location and working arrangements: Full time at our Bella Vista Head Office. Typical working hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, with reasonable flexibility by agreement.
