Join Our Team – Pharmacy Assistant / Intern (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Taringa Day & Night Chempro Chemist is seeking a passionate, motivated and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant / Intern to join our friendly and supportive pharmacy team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently studying Pharmacy who is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in community pharmacy while developing their skills and knowledge.
Please note: The successful applicant will initially work in a Pharmacy Assistant role and will have the opportunity to transition into an Intern Pharmacist role next year, once our current intern has completed their internship. Until then, the position will focus on Pharmacy Assistant duties, providing an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in community pharmacy.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy community pharmacy.
You will work alongside an experienced and supportive team, gaining practical knowledge of pharmacy operations and developing the skills needed to progress into an Intern Pharmacist position when the opportunity becomes available.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing friendly, professional and customer-focused service.
- Assisting customers with general enquiries and directing medication-related questions to the Pharmacist when appropriate.
- Supporting the pharmacy team with daily operations.
- Assisting with stock replenishment, ordering and merchandising.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming retail environment.
- Supporting promotional activities and customer loyalty programs.
- Working collaboratively with pharmacists and other pharmacy team members.
- Learning about pharmacy products, services and procedures.
- Following pharmacy policies, procedures and relevant requirements.
- Building your knowledge and skills in preparation for a future Intern Pharmacist role.
About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about community pharmacy and eager to grow their career within the industry.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current enrolment in a Pharmacy degree and an interest in progressing into an Intern Pharmacist role.
- A friendly, approachable and customer-focused attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
- Excellent reliability, organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping people.
- Previous pharmacy or customer service experience,
which will be highly regarded.
