About the role

You will bring together design, estimating and building services requirements to ensure projects are practical, commercially sound and ready for delivery. Based in Beresfield, NSW, this role combines technical coordination, estimating and commercial project management. You will work closely with clients, architects, suppliers and internal teams to refine designs, establish accurate budgets and prepare projects for production and installation.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinating design and estimating activities, aligning project scope, specifications and budgets.

- Finalising designs with clients and architects while maintaining the intended appearance and functionality.

- Identifying value engineering opportunities to reduce costs and protect project margins.

- Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiating pricing and confirming inclusions and exclusions.

- Supporting tender strategy and final negotiations alongside sales and estimating teams.

- Coordinating plumbing, electrical and lighting requirements to ensure products integrate correctly on site.

- Reviewing architectural, building services and shop drawings to identify and resolve issues before production.

- Managing project meetings, programmes, submissions, requests for information and variations.

- Maintaining clear client communication and handing over fully approved projects to production and installation teams.





- Tracking estimated and final project margins.

About you

- At least five years' experience in pre-construction, project management or estimating within commercial construction, building services or building products manufacturing.

- Experience coordinating plumbing and electrical services on commercial projects.

- Solid ability to interpret architectural, services and shop drawings.

- Experience managing supplier quotations, technical submissions and requests for information.

- Strong proficiency in Bluebeam and Excel.

- An understanding of relevant Australian construction standards, accessibility requirements and building services coordination.

- Clear communication, strong negotiation skills and close attention to detail.

- Experience in commercial washroom fit-outs, joinery, solid surface products, prefabrication or LED lighting and controls will be highly regarded.

- Qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline are preferred, although applicants with equivalent practical experience are encouraged to apply.
