We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join a leading global financial services organisation in Sydney.

This opportunity will suit a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong Australian tax knowledge and experience in banking, investment management, fund administration or another complex financial services workplace.
Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review tax calculations, tax returns, BAS/GST reporting and supporting schedules.
- Support investment fund tax reporting, including unit trust distributions and taxable income calculations.
- Perform tax reconciliations across general ledgers, accounting systems and financial reporting records.
- Investigate discrepancies and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
- Liaise with finance, fund accounting and operations teams to resolve tax-related matters.
- Support audits, compliance reviews and reporting process improvements.

Skills & Experience





- Previous tax accounting experience within banking, financial services, fund administration or a complex corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of Australian tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing tax calculations, reconciliations and reporting schedules.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Relevant Accounting or Finance degree; CA/CPA highly regarded.

Highly Desirable: Experience with investment funds, unit trusts, custody operations, superannuation or fund tax reporting.
