The Disaster Recovery Lead, leads the Bureau’s approach to ICT disaster recovery and operational resilience for critical technology services. Reporting within the Planning and Architecture program, the role is responsible for ensuring the organisation has a planned, tested and funded approach to recovering critical IT services following disruption, including cyber incidents, infrastructure failures, supplier outages and natural hazards.
The role works across business and technology teams to identify critical services, dependencies, recovery priorities, recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives, and to translate these into practical recovery strategies, plans and investment proposals.
It provides leadership for disaster recovery governance, scenario testing, lessons learned and continuous improvement, ensuring arrangements are aligned with enterprise risk, cyber security, service continuity and asset planning processes.
The successful candidate will bring robust experience in disaster recovery, service continuity or infrastructure resilience, together with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in a complex operating environment. They will exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities and provide expert advice that supports resilient service delivery across the Bureau.
