HC Operator / Labourer Dredging Project

2:1 Roster

12-Hour Dayshifts

Location: Groote Eylandt

About the Role

WorkPac is seeking reliable, safety-focused HC Operators / Labourers for an upcoming dredging project on Groote Eylandt.

These positions will suit hardworking candidates with a current Heavy Combination (HC) licence who are confident operating heavy vehicles and undertaking general labouring duties in a hands-on project environment.

Candidates with experience in civil construction, mining, earthworks, dredging or other heavy industry environments are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will be comfortable working as part of a team, assisting with daily project activities and carrying out labouring duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

Operate HC trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures

Undertake general labouring duties to support dredging and earthworks operations

Assist with loading, unloading and moving materials and equipment

Support site personnel with general project activities and daily tasks

Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area

Complete pre-start inspections and report equipment faults or safety concerns

Follow site procedures, safety requirements and instructions from supervisors

Assist with additional duties as required to support project operations

What You Will Need

Current HC licence

Previous experience operating heavy vehicles in a civil construction, mining, earthworks or similar environment

Experience undertaking general labouring duties in a hands-on project environment

Ability and willingness to perform physical labour and assist with various site tasks

Current driver's licence, with validity subject to verification





Ability to pass the required medical

Ability to complete all required site inductions

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Reliable, versatile and able to work effectively within a team

Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work

Roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off (2:1)

Hours: 12-hour dayshifts only

Flights: Brisbane, Cairns and Darwin departures only at this stage, pending site confirmation
