An opportunity has become available for an experienced Sales Engineer or Technical Sales Representative to join an established business specialising in acoustic, thermal and fire insulation solutions across a range of commercial and industrial markets.

Based out of the company's Forrestdale branch in Perth, this position will suit someone with a background in technical sales, commercial building products, acoustic engineering or specification who enjoys developing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

The business operates across several sectors, including building and construction, engineering, marine, mass transport, oil and gas, and offshore applications.

Importantly, you don't necessarily need to have sold insulation products previously.

We're equally interested in speaking with candidates who have sold technical or specification-driven building products such as facades, cladding, roofing systems, passive fire protection, HVAC or other commercial construction materials.

Alternatively, Acoustic Engineers, Consultants or Specification Professionals who have experience working with acoustic, thermal or fire insulation products and are interested in transitioning into a commercially focused position are encouraged to apply.

The Opportunity

This is an autonomous sales position combining account management, technical sales and business development across Western Australia.

You'll be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities across a variety of commercial and industrial markets.

Working with engineers, consultants, contractors, builders and manufacturers, you'll help customers identify suitable acoustic, thermal and fire insulation solutions based on their project requirements.

The role will involve understanding technical specifications,



identifying upcoming projects and building relationships with key stakeholders to have products considered and specified.

For someone coming from a commercial building products background, this is an opportunity to utilise your existing sales experience and industry relationships while developing knowledge across a specialised product range.

Equally, someone from an engineering or consulting background who enjoys the customer-facing aspect of their role could find this an attractive transition into technical sales.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers across Western Australia.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across commercial and industrial markets.

- Build relationships with engineers, consultants, architects, contractors and other technical stakeholders.

- Promote acoustic, thermal and fire insulation products across a variety of applications.

- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable product solutions.

- Identify upcoming projects and opportunities to have products specified.

- Provide technical product information and support customers throughout the sales process.

- Manage enquiries, quotations, customer meetings and sales opportunities.

- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

- Independently manage your territory, customer relationships and business development activities.

About You The business is open to considering candidates from several different backgrounds, provided they have a strong understanding of technical products, commercial building materials or specification sales.





Ideally, you'll bring experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Technical sales or business development within commercial building products.

- Facades, cladding, roofing, waterproofing or building envelope systems.

- Acoustic, thermal or fire insulation products.

- Passive fire protection or fire-rated building materials.

- Industrial products supplied into engineering, marine, transport or oil and gas markets.

- Acoustic engineering, consulting or technical specification.

Beyond your industry background, we're looking for someone who:
- Has experience developing relationships with engineers, consultants, contractors or other technical stakeholders.

- Can understand technical product information, specifications and performance requirements.

- Is confident identifying opportunities and developing new business.

- Enjoys building long-term customer relationships.

- Can work autonomously and take ownership of their territory.

- Has strong communication skills and a practical approach to solving customer problems.

An engineering qualification or technical trade background would be advantageous, although not essential.

- Base salary between $100,000 and $130,000 + superannuation, negotiable depending on experience.
