Warehouse Supervisor | Full-Time | Gillman SA

Lead from the front in a busy warehouse and cross-dock operation. Bulk Group is looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join our Adelaide operation, based in Gillman, SA.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you'll lead a small warehouse team responsible for the daily movement of freight through our busy warehouse and cross-dock facility.

Our Gilman facility handles high freight volumes, with regular B-double, linehaul and local pickup and delivery (PUD) vehicle movements. You'll oversee the safe and efficient unloading, sorting, staging and reloading of freight, ensuring it moves through the facility and onto the right vehicles within operational deadlines.

This is a working Supervisor role, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment, leads by example and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

- Supervising daily warehouse and cross-dock operations, ensuring freight moves safely and efficiently through the facility.
- Overseeing freight sorting, staging, loading and dispatch to meet scheduled departure times.
- Leading and supporting a small warehouse team, allocating workloads and managing daily priorities.
- Working alongside the team with forklift operations, loading, unloading and general freight handling as required.
- Managing workflow in a busy environment with frequent truck movements, competing priorities and tight turnaround times.
- Maintaining safe traffic management practices, including the separation of pedestrians, forklifts and heavy vehicles.
- Ensuring freight is handled correctly, with a focus on load security, damage prevention and operational accuracy.
- Maintaining warehouse organisation,

housekeeping and workplace safety standards.
- Working closely with the Branch Manager and transport teams to resolve operational issues and improve efficiency.

Hours

Full-time position based at our Gillman warehouse. Monday to Friday, with rostered working hours scheduled within our operational window of 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM, depending on business requirements.

What You'll Need

- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or similar operational leadership role.
- Strong experience in transport, freight distribution, cross-dock or high-volume warehouse operations.
- Current LF Forklift Licence with practical forklift operating experience.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks, including linehaul and local distribution vehicles.
- Sound understanding of freight handling, load restraint and safe loading practices.
- Ability to coordinate multiple freight movements and manage competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
- Strong awareness of workplace safety, particularly around forklifts, pedestrians and heavy vehicle movements.
- Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to guide and support a small team.
- Reliability, initiative and a strong sense of ownership over daily operations.

We're looking for someone who understands the pace of a busy freight operation, can think on their feet and knows how to keep freight moving without compromising safety or service.

What We Offer

- Full-time chance with an established and growing national logistics business.
- Hands-on supervisory role with ownership of daily warehouse and cross-dock operations.
- Small, supportive team environment.
- Direct support from the Branch Manager.
- Opportunity to contribute to operational improvements and team development.
