Position Summary

Manage the day-to-day operation of our food distribution warehouse, ensuring safe working practices, accurate inventory and timely order fulfilment. This is a hands-on role covering ambient and frozen packaged food products, with responsibility for supervising staff and supporting warehouse setup and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and participate in receiving, unloading, checking, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.

- Inspect incoming deliveries for quantity, condition, batch numbers, expiry dates and temperature where applicable.

- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.

- Apply First Expired, First Out (FEFO) stock rotation and monitor short-dated, damaged and slow-moving stock.

- Maintain appropriate storage conditions, temperature records, hygiene, cleaning and pest-control arrangements.

- Coordinate delivery schedules with transport providers, suppliers and internal sales and logistics teams.

- Ensure customer orders are picked accurately, packed securely and dispatched on time with the correct documentation.

- Supervise and train warehouse staff, allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity and safety.

- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely, arrange routine checks and report maintenance issues.

- Maintain batch traceability and support product holds, returns and recalls when required.

- Support warehouse layout planning,



racking arrangements and the implementation of standard operating procedures.

- Report inventory issues, operational performance and improvement opportunities to management.

Minimum Requirements

- At least 2 years of warehouse or distribution experience, including experience as a senior warehouse operator, team leader or supervisor.

- A current Australian LF forklift licence and practical forklift operating experience.

- Working knowledge of receiving, dispatch, inventory control, stock rotation and warehouse safety.

- Understanding of food hygiene, batch traceability, expiry-date management and temperature-controlled storage.

- Ability to use warehouse or inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.

- Valuable English communication skills and the ability to maintain clear operational records.

- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a small team.

- Willingness and ability to participate in hands-on warehouse duties using safe manual-handling practices.

- Valid Australian work rights.

Desirable

- Experience in food, FMCG or cold-storage distribution.

- Experience setting up a warehouse or implementing an inventory management system.

- Mandarin language skills to support communication with overseas teams and suppliers.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
