As our business continues to grow, we are looking for both qualified Welders and Apprentice Welders (2nd, 3rd or 4th Year) to join our fabrication team in Lara.
About the Role
This is a hands-on fabrication role working as part of a skilled team manufacturing industrial radiators, cooling systems and fabricated components.
Whether you're an experienced tradesperson or an apprentice looking to continue your career, you'll work alongside experienced welders in a supportive environment where quality, safety and teamwork are valued.
For apprentices, this is an chance to continue developing your trade under the guidance of experienced mentors while gaining valuable experience in a well-established Australian manufacturing business.
As your skills and experience grow, so will the opportunities available to you within our fabrication team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel,
stainless steel and aluminium components
- Manufacture and assemble fabricated components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production schedules
- Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain Air Radiators' high standards of workmanship
About You
- We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys working as part of a team.
- You will ideally have
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (for qualified tradespeople) or be a current 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice
- Experience with MIG welding
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, or a willingness to continue developing these skills
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
