Burdett's Sand Soil & Stone is seeking a reliable and experienced Yard operator loader driver to join our operations team in Langwarrin, Victoria. As a casual employee, you will play a crucial role in the efficient running of our yard, operating various machines and equipment to load and unload materials for our customers. Including driving trucks and agitators
What you'll be doing
- Safely operating front-end loaders, trucks, forklifts and other machinery to load and unload sand, soil, stone and other construction materials
- Ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of customer orders
- Maintaining a clean and organised yard workplace
- Assisting with general yard duties as required (some manual labor, shoveling, sweeping required)
- Adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- Relevant experience in operating heavy machinery such as front-end loaders, forklifts or similar
- A current Victorian driver's licence (min MR) and ideally forklift/Front end loader licence
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work a casual schedule, including weekends and public holidays
