The Opportunity
Are you an experienced HR operations leader who enjoys bringing order to complexity, developing people and making things run better?
A well-established national organisation with a strong reputation is seeking an HR Operations Manager to lead its centralised HR Operations function. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys balancing team leadership and process improvement with hands-on operational HR.
You’ll join a business known for its practical, down-to-earth culture. Backed by an experienced leadership team, you’ll have the autonomy to own the function and make a genuine, lasting impact.

About the Role
You’ll lead a small team and oversee the delivery of accurate, efficient and compliant HR operations across a geographically dispersed workforce.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, coaching and developing an established HR Operations team, driving accountability, engagement and high performance.
- Overseeing end-to-end HR operations, including employment contracts, on-boarding, employee changes and off-boarding.
- Driving operational excellence, ensuring service delivery meets agreed time-frames, quality standards and business expectations.
- Owning HR systems and processes, streamlining workflows, documenting procedures and training team members to improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
- Maintaining compliance, overseeing award interpretation, employment documentation and HR governance.
- Owning WGEA reporting and compliance obligations.
- Managing HR reporting, including workforce data and compliance reporting.

About You
We’re looking for a confident,



capable HR Operations Manager who combines strong technical knowledge with a genuine passion for people leadership and continuous improvement.
Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Solid experience in HR Services, HR Operations or a similar team leadership role within a large, complex organisation.
- Exposure to acquisitions, business integration's or large-scale employee on-boarding would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience leading an HR administration or shared services team within a high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment contracts, Contemporary Awards, HR compliance and employee life-cycle processes.
- Confidence working with HRIS platforms, reporting and data, including strong Excel skills.
- A track record of improving processes, streamlining workflows, documenting procedures and developing team capability.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
