What’s OnOffer

An exciting opportunity exists at the City ofKwinana for an experienced and detail oriented Technical Officer tojoin our Technical Operations team. This is a fixed-term positionof approximately 11 months commencing in December 2026 with thepossibility of extension.

In this hands-on technicalrole, the successful candidate will play a key role in theplanning, coordination and delivery of the City’s civilinfrastructure maintenance programs, you’ll help ensure our roads,drainage networks, footpaths and other essential community assetsare maintained safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Working closely withoperational teams, engineering and asset management colleagues,contractors and external agencies, you will develop practical worksprograms, manage asset information and support the effectivedelivery of maintenance and capital works projects.

What You'llNeed

To be successful in this role, you willneed:

- Demonstrated assetmaintenance planning experience, including development anddelivery of works programs and project plans, contractmanagement and utilising procurement processes.
- Experience inoperational risk management, safety documentation and WorkHealth and Safety legislative requirements.




- Advancedcomputer literacy skills and experience in the use ofcomputerised works planning, spatial data and report writingtools including MS Project, MS Excel, GIS data systems and MSWord. AutoCAD competency also desirable.
- Clearlydemonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, includingthe ability to build and maintain strong relationships andconsult with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Tertiaryqualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management orrelevant discipline.
- PreviousLocal Government experience in asset maintenance, design and/orconstruction of civil infrastructure assetsdesirable.
- WorksiteTraffic Management Card and a current, valid driver’slicence.
