An opportunity for an experienced Technical Director to join a well-established national environmental consultancy, taking a leading role in shaping technical standards, developing people and influencing the future direction of the business.

Working across a diverse portfolio of contaminated land, remediation and complex environmental projects, you'll be a trusted technical authority while also playing an important role in strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities and building capability across the wider team.

With an established national presence, strong industry reputation and a steady pipeline of major projects, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact, both technically and strategically.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll provide technical leadership across the business, working closely with Area Managers, project teams and senior stakeholders to drive quality, consistency and technical excellence.

- Lead technical direction across complex contaminated land, investigation, remediation and validation projects
- Review and sign off technical reports and proposals, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance
- Mentor and develop technical teams, building capability and future leaders




- Provide trusted technical advice to clients and strengthen key relationships
- Identify new opportunities, contribute to tenders and support business growth
- Champion technical innovation, best practice and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

- 20+ years' experience in environmental consulting, with strong contaminated land expertise
- Proven technical leadership across complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
- CEnvP Site Contamination or Certified Occupational Hygienist accreditation, or eligibility and commitment to achieve certification
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulatory frameworks and technical best practice
- Experience mentoring teams, reviewing technical deliverables and influencing project outcomes
- Commercial awareness, solid client relationships and the ability to identify opportunities for growth
