About the Organisation

Our client is an established Victorian insurance brokerage with a robust focus on client service and technical knowledge. Its in-house claims team of about 10 manages claims for the brokerage's clients.

About the Role

We're recruiting a Claims Specialist to manage a portfolio of motor claims.

This is a brokerage claims role, not an insurer claims role. There is no settlement authority. You advocate for the client with insurers to reach the right outcome.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing a portfolio of motor claims from lodgement to finalisation
- Advocating for clients with insurers, assessors and repairers
- Interpreting policy wordings and explaining claim decisions to clients
- Keeping clients and account managers informed at each stage
- Handling disputes and complaints, and escalating where needed
- Meeting the team's service standards and KPIs

About You





You'll have experience managing motor claims, from a brokerage, insurer, assessor or TPA. Candidates from an underwriting background will also be considered.

Ideally you'll bring:

- End to end motor claims experience
- Confidence interpreting policy wordings
- Clear written and verbal communication
- A car and driver's licence (the office is in a business park)

- Car parking provided
- Full time in the office during the 6 month probation, then 3 days in the office and 2 from home
- A claims team of about 10
