About PLC

We are a Uniting Church school catering for approximately 1000 day and boarding students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Our campus is located in the leafy suburb of Peppermint Grove, situated between the ocean and the river.

Job Description

About the Role

We seek an experienced Marketing and Communications Specialist for approximately 3 months to assist our Marketing and Community Engagement team. We anticipate this contract opportunity will generally be full time working in-house requiring attendance during business hours, to work collaboratively within the Marketing team of @ seven (7) staff. Contract arrangements are flexible and may be as a fixed term employee or freelance contractor. There is potential for extension or future work beyond the contract timeline. An immediate start is required, with early November being the latest commencement date.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing the College’s social media advertising and paid media ie: Facebook, Instagram.
- Developing digital and social media content – capturing College events, developing social media posts,



providing internal photography and videography.
- Drafting copy-write for College publications such as the Blackwatch magazine and College Prospectus.
- Managing external partners and contractors eg: Graphic Designers, Photographers & Videographers, providing briefings, selecting edits.
- Co-ordinating advertising and promoting College events and activities eg: the PLC Holiday Club, College Tours etc.
- Proficiency in digital content platforms and systems for website updates.
- Assisting with other general marketing initiatives and providing support across the full spectrum of marketing activities performed by the Marketing and Community Engagement team.

About You

You will be an experienced and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications professional, team focussed with flexibility and versatility. You will be hands-on, work inhouse with the team and possess excellent skills and knowledge in digital media, content design, copywriting and advertising. Salary/hourly rate is negotiable based on experience.
