$68–$75 per hour + superannuation | Part-Time or Full-Time (3–5 days per week)

Love clinical psychology, mentoring and developing others?

We're looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor to take on a rewarding senior clinical leadership role across our Helensvale and Nerang clinics.

This is an opportunity to combine clinical practice with supervision, mentoring and professional leadership, while helping shape the development of our growing clinical team.

The Opportunity

You’ll provide clinical leadership across our Helensvale and Nerang clinics, supporting clinical psychology registrars, placement students and experienced psychologists.

Working alongside our Directors and Mt Gravatt Clinical Lead, you’ll also contribute to professional development initiatives, clinical governance and the ongoing development of our clinical services.

The role offers a combination of clinical practice, supervision and leadership, with protected, paid time allocated for supervision, mentoring and professional development responsibilities.

The position is available between three and five days per week, with flexibility to share your time between Helensvale and Nerang.

What You’ll Be Doing

Clinical Supervision & Mentoring

- Provide supervision to clinical psychology registrars and postgraduate placement students.
- Mentor psychologists and provide consultation on complex clinical presentations.
- Support evidence-based assessment, treatment planning and clinical decision‑making.

Clinical Leadership & Governance

- Provide clinical leadership across our Helensvale and Nerang teams.
- Support clinical quality,

ethical practice and risk management.
- Work collaboratively with Directors and management to maintain a positive and supportive clinical culture.

Professional Development & Organisational Initiatives

- Collaborate with our Mt Gravatt Clinical Lead to design and deliver professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to company‑wide clinical training and professional development initiatives.
- Identify learning needs and opportunities to strengthen clinical capability across our teams.

Clinical Practice

- Maintain a manageable clinical caseload alongside supervision and leadership responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

- Current general registration with Ahpra and area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
- Current Psychology Board of Australia-approved supervisor status, including approval to act as a principal supervisor for clinical psychology registrars.
- Strong clinical experience in evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment.
- A genuine interest in clinical supervision, mentoring and professional development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to provide supportive, constructive clinical leadership.

Highly Desirable

- Experience supervising postgraduate psychology placement students.
- Previous senior clinical or leadership experience.

- Experience developing or facilitating career development programs.

Why Join CBT Professionals?

The Best of Both Worlds – Family-Owned, Professionally Supported

We’re proud to be a family‑owned psychology practice where relationships matter, people are valued and our Directors remain personally involved in the business.

At the same time, you’ll enjoy the benefits of an established organisation, with a dedicated Head Office Management Team covering Business Management, Accounts, Operations, Human Resources and Marketing.

This means you can focus on clinical excellence, supervision and leadership, without the administrative and financial pressures of running your own practice.

Competitive Remuneration & Flexibility

- $68–$75 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience and supervisory expertise.
- Flexible part‑time or full‑time arrangements, between three and five days per week.
- Opportunity to work across our Helensvale and Nerang clinics.

Supervision and Leadership Are Valued

You’ll have dedicated, paid time within your working week to fulfil supervision, mentoring and leadership responsibilities, rather than fitting them around a full clinical caseload.

A Genuine Opportunity to Influence

Work collaboratively with our Directors and fellow Clinical Lead to shape clinical standards, develop professional learning opportunities and contribute to the future direction of our clinical services.

Interested? Let’s Have a Conversation.

Whether you’re actively looking for a new position or simply curious about a different direction in your career, we’d welcome a confidential conversation.
