Task & responsibilities

- preparing and conducting a wide range of child-focused activities
- supervising toileting, hygiene, and the daily routine of children (including recreational activities)
- assessing and preparing, as required,



materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities for children
- entertaining children, which may include reading and playing games with them
- guiding child social behaviours and development
- recording observations for both Department compliance purposes and for evidencing (for parents) progress along growth pathways

Qualification & experience

- Have experience working within a childcare centre, and have a Diploma-level certificate or be able to obtain one
- Be able to establish positive educator/parent relationships
- Ensure that Oxanda’s philosophy, policies and procedures are upheld and implemented
- Have a good knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, NQF, NQS, State and Commonwealth Regulations
- All potential employees and volunteers will be required to comply with Oxanda’s Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct Policy
- Our screening process includes but is not limited to, Professional reference checks, Criminal Records Checks, Working with Children Checks and checks of Social media accounts
