About the role

BaptistCare Mid Richmond Centre is seeking compassionate and dedicated Carers to join our casual team.

As a Care Service Employee, you will support residents to live well by delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing. Through genuine connections and meaningful interactions, you'll make a positive difference in the lives of residents every day.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting residents to achieve their individual goals in line with their care plans.
- Assisting with personal care, daily living activities, mobility and mealtime support.
- Encouraging independence, choice and meaningful engagement in daily life.
- Developing positive relationships with residents, their families and colleagues.
- Monitoring resident wellbeing and reporting any concerns or changes to the care team.
- Contributing to a safe, welcoming and supportive setting for residents and visitors.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, or currently undertaking Undergraduate Registered Nurse studies
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role
- Basic computer and technology skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and team members
- Understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and values
