What sets you apart

- Steel, steel-processing or other manufacturing experience
- Experience operating cutting, bending or shearing equipment

- Evidence of learning new equipment and following established procedures
- For the afternoon role, experience supporting a team, coordinating work and maintaining safety and quality standards

The reality of the role

All new operators begin on day shift, 5:00AM-1:00PM, so they can train with the experienced team before moving to afternoon or night shift. Training generally takes around two to four weeks, depending on experience and competency sign-offs.
This is active work in a steel manufacturing environment, with noise, heat and repetitive tasks. You'll need to stay attentive, follow the process and ask when something is unclear. Overtime may be limited during the initial training period.

Additional information
