The Role

You'll be part of the mobile maintenance team, servicing and repairing a fleet of underground and surface mining equipment.

- Scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and pre-start inspections
- Fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, engine, transmission and basic electrical systems
- Breakdown repairs and component change-outs to keep downtime to a minimum
- Underground breakdown response once you've been trained up
- Working on Sandvik drills, boggers and trucks, Normet Spraymecs and Charmecs, and a range of CAT and auxiliary gear
- Keeping maintenance records,



inspection reports and work orders accurate

The Site and Roster

You’ll be at an established underground mine in N.QLD with camp just a 5 to 10 minute walk from site.

- Thursday to Thursday roster, 6am to 6pm on days and 6pm to 6am on nights
- Donga style rooms, gym, pool, and an outdoor chill-out areas
- Wet and dry mess with quality meals and regular themed food nights
- Telstra coverage, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and an onsite shop

Your Value

You don't need to have done it all underground. If you're qualified, reliable and keen to learn, you'll fit right in.

- Heavy diesel trade qualification and worked on heavy machinery in mining, civil, earthmoving etc.
- Comfortable with a range of hand and power tools, and able to work in hot, humid conditions
- Physically fit for 12-hour shifts and team player with good communication and a drive to learn
- Current unrestricted manual driver's licence and national police check
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test and functional
