We're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Alphington and contribute to the warm, welcoming and engaging learning environment we're proud to offer our children and families.

Who we are:

Smart Start is a privately owned and operated early learning service with over 15 years of experience supporting children and families within our local community.

We're passionate about providing meaningful learning experiences where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, build friendships and develop confidence in who they are.

Our programs extend beyond the classroom, with experiences including Bush Kinder, sustainability, cooking, gardening, music and movement, sports,



excursions and community engagement.

We value educators who bring their own ideas, creativity and personality to their work and who genuinely enjoy being part of children's everyday learning.

What we're looking for:

- Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.

- Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their individual development.

- Enjoy building positive, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.

- Understand the importance of play-based learning and creating engaging, inclusive environments.

- Have a sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards.

- Are reliable, approachable and enjoy contributing to a team.

- Are open to learning, professional development and sharing ideas with others.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold or be working towards an appropriate ACECQA-approved early childhood qualification and meet the requirements of the position.

A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee) or current VIT registration, as applicable, and appropriate work rights are required. Relevant first aid qualifications and experience in early childhood education will be highly regarded.
