The Flavour Gallery, located in Boronia, VIC, is seeking two qualified and experienced Chefs to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Salary: Range =$76,000 to 80,000 per annum + Superannuation

About the Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to menu development in a busy and professional setting.

Key Requirements

- Australian trade qualification (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery) and Diploma or higher in Hospitality/Management
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a Chef in Australia
- Experience in Italian Cuisine is necessary.
- Ability to prepare all dishes displayed on menu as well as wide ranging specials from different cuisines.
- Experience in catering for functions will be an advantage
- Experience in planning menus, developing recipes, preparing, cooking and maintaining food quality




- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Instruct cooks and other kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Select and train kitchen staff as and when required
- Ability to maintain a clean kitchen and use kitchen appliances and equipment safely.
- Ability to maintain a COVID safe workplace.
- May need to work varied shifts as also on weekends

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with menu requirements
- Develop and contribute to menu planning and seasonal specials
- Supervise and train kitchen staff as required
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen workplace
- Follow workplace health and safety and food safety standards
