Job Title: Home Care and Support Assistant

Job Purpose:

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support with mobility, including protected transfers and use of mobility aids
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining adequate nutrition and hydration
- Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans and company policy
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Support clients with attending appointments or social activities where required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in a client's condition
- Follow care plans and risk assessments to ensure secure and effective care delivery
- Adhere to safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately

Skills and Experience:





- Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential (full training provided)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety and safeguarding principles

Qualifications:

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential)
- Willingness to undertake training and development

Other Requirements:

- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable, depending on role)
- Enhanced DBS check required

Working Conditions:

- Work is carried out in clients' homes
- May involve travel between locations
- Role can be physically and emotionally demanding
- Guaranteed hours
- Working in one location supporting regular clients
