Newlife Church is seeking a passionate and experienced Accounting professional to join our team on a permanent, part time basis. This important role supports the financial health of Newlife Church by managing accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance to ensure our resources are managed responsibly and effectively in support of our mission.

Working closely with the Business Manager and Finance Team, this role ensures that financial functions, reporting, and systems are accurate and compliant across Newlife Church.

You will work closely with the Business Manager managing financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting analysis, grant funds, cashflow and statutory compliance. You’ll also coordinate the annual external audit, provide backup to the payroll function and manage Fringe Benefits Tax requirements, ensuring financial obligations are met accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate is a finance professional who demonstrates integrity,



attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting Newlife’s mission. You’ll bring a bachelor's degree in accounting, broad accounting experience, payroll knowledge, and confidence using MYOB and Microsoft Office. Strong organisational and communiation skills, along with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities, are essential. A commitment to the mission, values, and ethos of Newlife Church and the Uniting Church in Australia is essential.
