Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a leader in the manufacture and supply of corrugated and carton board packaging in Coolaroo, Victoria. This role will suit a fitter with experience maintaining cardboard or corrugated packaging machinery, who understands the equipment used to manufacture and convert packaging.

The role

- Carry out preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across packaging machinery and conveyors
- Maintain components including bearings, gearboxes, drives and pneumatic systems
- Work closely with production to minimise downtime and keep equipment operating safely
- Identify opportunities to improve machinery reliability and performance

About you





- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
- Maintenance experience within cardboard or corrugated packaging manufacturing
- Exposure to equipment such as corrugators, printers, die-cutters, folder-gluers or similar packaging machinery
- Solid mechanical fault-finding and breakdown repair skills
- A practical approach and commitment to safe working practices
