Bring people together through supporting volunteers and exceptional member experiences
The Australian HR Institute (AHRI) is looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Network Events Coordinator to join our Stakeholder Engagement team.
In this role, you will coordinate AHRI Network Forums, webinars and member engagement events across Australia. Working closely with volunteers, speakers and internal teams, you will help ensure that our AHRI members have access to engaging online, face-to-face and hybrid experiences.
About AHRI
AHRI is the national peak membership body representing human resource professionals. We set the professional standard for HR in Australia through certification, education and training, conferences, networking opportunities and the highly regarded AHRI Awards.
About the role
As the Network Events Coordinator, you will be a key point of contact for AHRI volunteers and will support the planning, organisation and end-to-end delivery of Network Forums, webinars and broader member engagement activities.
You will manage event administration, communications, technical coordination and post-event activities while building strong relationships with State Councils, Network Convenors, Committee Members, speakers and other stakeholders. You will also provide day-to-day guidance and coordination to AHRI's part-time Network Events Coordinator.
What you'll be doing
Coordinating a high volume of online, face-to-face and hybrid events, including speaker coordination, event logistics and post-event activities.
Creating and managing event records, website registration pages and communications through AHRI's CRM and associated platforms.
Supporting the AHRI National Webinar Program and virtual Network Events, including set up, practice sessions, live facilitation,
and technical support using platforms such as Zoom.
Managing communications with speakers, presenters, attendees and other stakeholders.
Maintaining accurate event, volunteer and customer information and identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
Developing and analysing event surveys and reporting on member satisfaction and engagement.
About you
You are a confident coordinator who enjoys a fast-paced role in a purposeful organisation. You can juggle competing priorities and keeping multiple activities moving with excellent attention to detail. You communicate clearly, build robust stakeholder relationships and remain calm and solutions-focused when priorities change or technical issues arise.
You will bring:
Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with solid attention to detail.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage competing tasks, timelines and priorities.
A customer-centric approach and commitment to prompt, accurate and professional service.
Confidence supporting live events and troubleshooting technical issues.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
Competency across Microsoft Office, Outlook, CRM systems, databases and online webinar platforms.
A relevant qualification and/or equivalent work experience.
The ability and willingness to work outside standard business hours when required for event delivery.
Experience working with volunteer committees or within a professional association would be highly regarded.
This is an opportunity to play an important role in connecting Australia's HR community. You will work across a diverse program of events and engagement activities while building relationships with committed volunteers, members and industry professionals.
If you are an enthusiastic events coordinator who thrives in a busy, collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering an excellent stakeholder experience, we would love to hear from you.
