We’re a hospitality group with multiple venues across Recent South Wales. Our finance work is high-volume and fast-paced, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in that environment.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced accounts officer who can work independently, make sound decisions and question things that don’t look right. You’ll join an established finance team and take on a mix of payroll, reconciliation, reporting and bookkeeping work, with review and support from the Finance Manager. The exact focus of the role will depend on your skills and experience, and there’s room for it to grow.
Your responsibilities
- Payroll processing across multiple venues, including timesheets, awards, allowances, super and STP
- Bank and other account reconciliations
- Accounts receivable
- Payroll, finance and management reporting
- Month-end support and general bookkeeping
- Querying and resolving discrepancies, and flagging issues early
- Other finance and bookkeeping tasks as required
About you
- Previous experience in accounts, bookkeeping or payroll in a high-volume environment, ideally hospitality
- Working knowledge of Australian awards, super and STP obligations preferred
- Confident with Xero and Excel, with Deputy a plus
- Strong attention to detail, and a habit of asking “does this look right?”
- Able to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping, or equivalent experience
