Baristas and Waitstaff – New Gold Coast Store | Opening Mid-October
Third Wave BBQ, one of Melbourne’s leading American BBQ restaurants, has opened on the Gold Coast
Known for smoked meats, great coffee, cocktails and a fun, fast-paced atmosphere, we’re looking for enthusiastic baristas and waitstaff to join our newly opened Gold Coast store.
Our barista role includes both coffee preparation and floor service. You’ll need to be comfortable moving between the coffee machine and waiting tables, with availability for early morning starts and opening shifts.

Your Role
Baristas
- Prepare quality coffee and other café beverages consistently and efficiently
- Confidently operate the coffee machine and adjust the grinder
- Work efficiently on the floor, including taking orders, serving food and drinks, clearing tables and processing payments
- Move comfortably between coffee preparation and table service as needed
- Work early morning shifts and complete opening duties to get the venue ready for service
- Keep the coffee station clean, organised and well stocked
Waitstaff
- Welcome guests and guide them through the menu
- Take food and drink orders accurately
- Deliver food and beverages promptly
- Clear and reset tables efficiently
- Provide attentive and friendly service throughout the guest experience
Shared Responsibilities
- Process orders and payments using our POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the venue
- Work closely with the team to ensure smooth service during busy shifts
- Contribute to a positive and professional team culture
What We’re Looking For
- At least one year of hospitality experience preferred
- For barista applicants, confident coffee-making skills and the ability to work efficiently on the floor
- Availability and willingness to work early mornings and open the venue for barista applicants
- Current Queensland RSA certificate
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Availability across weekends and most public holidays, with evening availability for waitstaff
