We are seeking an experienced and motivated Major Accounts Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a lighting professional who is passionate about building strong client relationships, managing major projects, and delivering creative lighting solutions. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, supporting project delivery, and providing expert lighting advice across a range of commercial and industrial projects. This role will suit a highly driven individual with solid technical lighting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop lasting relationships with customers, consultants, architects, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow key customer accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, architects, suppliers and branch teams.
- Identify and pursue project opportunities from specification through to completion.
- Prepare and assist with lighting designs and project proposals.
- Provide technical advice and product recommendations.
- Monitor and manage project values, margins and profitability.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant lighting standards and Green Star requirements.
- Visit customers and branch locations as required.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Resolve customer and project-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
About you
- Strong knowledge of the lighting industry.
- Excellent lighting product knowledge.
- Understanding of Green Star requirements, Australian Standards and current industry trends.
- Experience using DIALux and/or AGi32 lighting design software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, consultants, architects and colleagues.
