About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Payroll Specialist to take full, end-to-end ownership of our client's Australian payroll operations. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this critical standalone role manages full end-to-end processing across weekly and monthly pay cycles for both office and manufacturing facility employees.

In addition to core payroll responsibilities, you will act as a key system user and have direct opportunities to participate in key HR, payroll, and business improvement projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End Payroll: Accurately process and administer weekly and monthly payroll cycles for office and factory staff.
- Award & EBA Compliance: Calculate pay rates, overtime, and allowances from time management systems while ensuring strict compliance with relevant Modern Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs).
- Statutory & EOM Reporting: Manage monthly superannuation reconciliations, PAYG tax, Payroll Tax (multi-state), Union deductions,

and workers' compensation.
- Systems & Data Integrity: Maintain personnel records, headcount reporting, and HR dashboards (absenteeism, turnover, working hours) utilizing a large ERP system.
- Fleet & Compliance Support: Assist with Australian motor vehicle fleet management (FBT & fuel reporting) and annual WGEA reporting.
- Project & Process Improvement: Actively contribute to HR/Payroll integration projects, process automation, and system upgrades.

We Are Looking For

- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a similar standalone or senior payroll role across multi-state operations (manufacturing/industrial experience preferred).
- Systems Knowledge: Proven experience with a large ERP system and time management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle or equivalent).
- Technical Skills: Intermediate to Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data manipulation).
- Award/EBA Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Australian Award determinations, EBAs, PAYG, and multi-state Payroll Tax legislation.
- Personal Attributes: High attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, resilience, and the confidence to handle complex payroll inquiries independently.

At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
