Trainee Optical Dispenser | Castle Hill | No optical experience Required

Start a new career with our client, an optical practice in Castle Hill. This part-time opportunity combines reception and optical dispensing, with support to complete the Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing.

The role

Learn optical dispensing while supporting the practice reception and helping patients. The practice uses Optomate software. Bring a friendly manner, explicit communication and a willingness to learn and complete the dispensing course.

Hours and location

Part-time, 31.5 hours per week: Tuesday to Thursday, 9.00 am-6.00 pm, and Saturday,



9.00 am-1.30 pm.

Pay and training

$29 per hour. Based on 31.5 hours per week over 52 weeks, annual base pay is $47,502. Adding 12% superannuation ($5,700.24) gives a total package of $53,202.24, rounded up to approximately $54K. Sponsored Certificate IV training is an additional benefit.

About you

No previous experience is required in optics. It would be good if you have had retail or customer service experience previously. If you are interested in a long-term optical career, willing to undertake the Certificate IV and available for the advertised roster.
