A leading consulting firm with an international presence is currently searching for an experienced Microsoft Azure Architect in Canberra to join their team.This organisation has recently secured numerous large-scale ERP transformation programs and needs an experienced consultant to advise our clients and ensure a smooth and successful implementation process throughout.IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HOLD A CURRENT NV1 IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR THIS CANBERRA BASED ROLEThe RoleWe are seeking an Sr. Solution Architect to expand our Solutions Architecture team, working within an industry-specific vertical to drive technical pre-sales excellence and customer success.This role blends hands-on solution architecture with people management, focusing on enhancing team expertise, standardising best practices, and delivering high-quality, technical solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop client-facing deliverables — including high-level solution summaries, proposals, staffing models, Statements of Work (SOWs), and responses to RFPs/RFIs — translating complex cloud architectures into clear, commercially sound engagements.Lead the scoping of workshops, assess, mobilise, and execution of migrating on-premises applications and legacy data centres to Azure.Design robust cloud security, identity, and access management (IAM) strategies, ensuring adherence to industry regulatory and compliance standards.Drive infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools to build automated CI/CD pipelines.Act as a subject matter expert and managing the sales cycle from requirements gathering to handoff to delivery.Own the proposal approval lifecycle — coordinating cross-functional review cycles, managing internal stakeholder sign-off, and ensuring all client-facing deliverables meet Presidio’s quality and standards.Develop and implement standardised methodologies for solution design,



deployment, and optimisation, incorporating industry-specific frameworks.Qualifications7+ years of relevant experience5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, delivery, or similar customer-facing technical roles.3+ years of experience in delivery and pre-sales of consulting and advisory services for strategic solutions such as IT strategy, Application Placement, and Cloud GovernanceDeep Azure expertise across core services with robust working knowledge of container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and Azure Well-Architected principles.Exceptional communication and executive presence — able to command the room with both technical architects and C-suite stakeholders, translating complex Azure solutions into compelling business value narratives.Strong cloud migration and modernisation background — including experience architecting lift-and-shift, re-platform, and re-architect, platform modernisation solutions across diverse enterprise environments and industries.Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern application architectures — including microservices, serverless, and event-driven patterns on Azure — enabling credible, forward-looking solution conversations with clients.Experience in solution design methodologies and technical best practices that drive consistency and quality across the team.Required Technical SkillsExpert-level knowledge of Azure core services.Proficiency in Azure Well-Architected Framework across all five pillars.Demonstrated experience architecting cloud migration strategies including lift-and-shift, re-platform, and re-architect approaches.Familiarity with Azure or third-party migration tooling.Experience building Azure cost calculations and building cost models for client estimates and proposals.Active Azure certification is highly preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
