Are you an experienced accountant who enjoys working directly with clients and has a strong background in Australian taxation, business services and financial reporting?

Amplified Accounting is looking for a Business Services Accountant to join our growing team in Glenelg.

We are a progressive, client-focused accounting practice providing taxation, business services, management and financial reporting, and practical business advice to a diverse range of clients.

We take pride in developing strong relationships with our clients, understanding their businesses and providing practical advice that goes beyond simply meeting compliance obligations.

The Role

Working within our Glenelg office, you will manage and contribute to a varied portfolio of business and individual clients.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Preparing BAS, IAS, GST and FBT compliance work
- Undertaking tax planning and assisting clients to manage their taxation obligations
- Preparing and analysing management and financial reports
- Assisting clients with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Working with Xero and other cloud-based accounting systems
- Liaising directly with clients and providing clear, practical advice
- Assisting clients with business structures, compliance matters and general business issues
- Working collaboratively with the Amplified Accounting team to deliver high-quality client outcomes

- About You We are looking for someone with a solid grounding in Australian public practice who is comfortable taking responsibility for their work and communicating directly with clients.

To be considered for this position, you must have:





- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years' recent experience working in an Australian accounting or taxation practice
- Practical experience preparing Australian income tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Sound working knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting requirements
- Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
- A current Australian driver’s licence

CA or CPA qualification, or current progression towards either qualification, will be highly regarded.

Please note: This position requires practical experience within an Australian accounting/taxation practice. Overseas accounting experience is valued, however applicants will need to demonstrate the required Australian public practice taxation experience.
