Role Description The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine Operator is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Perth Area. The CNC Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery to produce cold-formed steel components in accordance with technical drawings and production schedules. Daily responsibilities include selecting and installing tooling, performing machine adjustments, and ensuring correct feeds, speeds, and parameters.

The role involves inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality, maintaining clean and secure work areas, and reporting any equipment issues or production deviations.



The operator will collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet output targets, follow safety procedures, and support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Machine Operation skills, including safe setup, operation, and shutdown of CNC equipment.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including measurement, inspection, and documentation of part accuracy and finish.
- Candidates should possess Milling and Machining skills, with experience interpreting drawings and adjusting machining parameters as required.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with industrial Machinery, including routine maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting.
- Relevant trade qualification or certificate in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production documentation is required.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and reliability in a manufacturing environment are expected.
- Previous experience in steel fabrication, construction manufacturing, or related industries is an advantage.
