The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a Junior Claims Consultant to join our Melbourne-based Claims team. This role suits a recent graduate or someone early in their claims career who wants to build a long-term career in insurance.
You will manage your own portfolio of residential strata claims end-to-end, with coaching and support from an experienced team.

Handle a broad range of residential strata losses, from escape of liquid and storm damage through to fire and impact claims.
Work with a leading global insurer to gain insight into how claims are managed under a binding authority arrangement.
What you will do
Manage claims from lodgement through to settlement, working towards fair, timely and proactive outcomes.
Interpret policy wordings and apply General Insurance legislation and codes to real-world loss scenarios.
Work with loss adjusters, builders and other service providers to keep claims moving and service standards high.
Act as a point of contact for brokers and insureds, providing clear and accurate claim updates and coverage responses.
Build your technical knowledge through day-to-day claims handling with support from the team.
About you
Background: Previous exposure to property claims or insurance is an advantage but not essential. A relevant tertiary qualification (law, commerce, business or similar) is highly regarded.
Analytical mind: You enjoy the “detective work” of insurance, interpreting wordings and analysing facts to reach the right outcome.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build rapport with brokers and stakeholders.
Customer focus: You take pride in delivering outstanding service and a proactive, can-do approach.
Eagerness to learn: You are always looking for ways to develop your skills and are a positive, collaborative team player.
