The Role

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Educational Assistant to join the Malvern Campus on a part time (Monday – Friday 8:15am to 1:15pm), 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive and collegial team effectively supporting the teaching and learning experiences in the classroom and contributing to our Junior School community.

Key Duties

- Work collaboratively with teachers and other assistants in the development and implementation of a student-centred learning program
- Use strategies based on knowledge of students’ physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning
- Maintain daily written documentation on relevant behaviour and learning as required
- Contribute to the Junior School community
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours

Skills And Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team
- Motivated, enthusiastic and a self-starter
- Excellent communication skills
- Hard working and professional
- Minimum Certificate III in Educational Support or equivalent (including students in their final year of a teaching degree)
- Experience supporting the differentiation of the curriculum within the Primary environment
- Hold a current employment Working With Children Check
