About The Roles

Due to continued growth and expanding project pipelines for our clients in Western Australia, Central Queensland and South-East Queensland. We are seeking expressions of interest for FIFO roles Australia wide. These roles suit safety focused technicians to be part of a HV team shaping the future of critical power projects across Australia.

Summary Of Responsibilities

HV Technician

- Installation of HV & MV electrical systems.
- Testing and commissioning of switchboards, transformers, and associated equipment.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site teams.
- Preparing commissioning reports and documentation.

HV Cable Jointers

- Installation, jointing, and termination of HV and MV power cables.

Preparation and installation of HV cable joints and terminations (XLPE, PILC or similar).
- Installation of stress control systems, insulation, screens and oversheaths.
- Fault finding and repair of HV cable systems.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and work packs.
- Completion of test results, quality records, and commissioning documentation.
- Participation in pre‑starts, risk assessments, and site safety activities.

HV Technicians - Protection Systems





- Commissioning, testing and maintenance of HV protection systems and schemes, including experience with IEC 61850 and GOOSE communications.
- Testing and commissioning of HV substations, including both secondary systems and primary plant.
- Secondary testing including generators, differential feeders and motor protection.
- Commissioning and maintenance of HV and LV plant and assets.
- Testing and commissioning of power generation systems transformers.
- Preparation of commissioning and testing documentation, protection test plans, and detailed technical reports upon completion of projects.

About You To succeed in the roles, you will bring strong technical capability and a commitment to safety and quality.

- Hold a current “A Grade” Electrical Workers Licence (Fitter and Mechanic) or Cable Jointer Licence.
- Minimum five years’ experience in high‑voltage electrical environments.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver works in line with project quality, schedule and budget requirements.
- Strong commitment to safety, professionalism and effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Hold valid Australian working rights.
