We're looking for an Estimator to help us win the right work and set projects up for success from day one.

The role

At Unita, Estimators play a critical role in the projects we pursue. You'll work across the full tender lifecycle, partnering with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to build accurate, competitive submissions that balance chance, risk and commercial outcomes. You'll be trusted to own your tenders, apply sound judgement and provide the clarity and confidence needed for projects to move seamlessly into delivery.

What Great Looks Like

- Tenders are set up correctly from the start, structured, complete and on programme
- Trade packages are well scoped, clearly communicated and followed up consistently
- Independent take-offs are completed and used to sense-check subcontractor pricing before submission
- Project risks are identified, documented and addressed throughout the tender process
- Tender submissions are professional, detailed and delivered on time, every time
- Post-tender queries are handled promptly and accurately, maintaining client confidence
- Delivery teams receive a clean handover, with pricing assumptions, clarifications and subcontractor context clearly documented

- Calm under pressure, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail when deadlines are tight
- Naturally aligned to the Unita Way – you take responsibility, work well with others, and look for better ways of doing things

Experience We’re Looking For

- Experience estimating within fitout, commercial or construction environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects ranging from $500K to $10M+ in value
- Comfortable completing independent take-offs and interpreting construction documentation, drawings and specifications
- Experience with CostX, Bluebeam or similar estimating tools
- A current driver's licence
