About the Role

Reporting to the Inventory and Replenishment Manager, you will lead purchasing activities across Country Care Group's brands, ensuring the right products are sourced from the right suppliers at the right cost and delivered when needed.

You will oversee end-to-end purchasing for local and international suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, monitor supplier performance and manage purchasing costs. Working closely with inventory, warehouse, finance, merchandise and retail teams,



you will help balance product availability, cost efficiency and customer service.

You will also lead and develop a Purchasing Officer, setting priorities, strengthening purchasing processes and building a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Purchasing and supply management: Lead end-to-end purchasing from purchase order through to receipt, ensuring orders align with replenishment requirements, budgets and stock availability.

- Supplier negotiations: Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, rebates, lead times and service levels to deliver value and support business objectives.

- Supplier performance: Build strong supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews and address issues relating to delivery, quality, cost and service.

- International procurement: Coordinate overseas purchasing, import requirements, freight forwarders and customs brokers to support efficient inbound supply.

- Commercial performance: Monitor purchasing expenditure, supplier price movements and cost impacts, identifying opportunities to improve margins and reduce costs.

- Stock availability: Work closely with inventory and replenishment teams to manage order timing, lead times, backorders and delayed deliveries while protecting customer service levels.

- Data and systems integrity: Maintain accurate supplier, cost and purchasing information within the ERP system, ensuring purchase orders, receipts and invoices align.
