About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support and maintain our Integrated Management System (IMS). You’ll work across our sites with the Site Supervisors, and you’ll help build a solid safety culture where safety is never compromised.

What you’ll do

- Support and maintain our IMS (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001)
- Complete site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits
- Develop and update HSE policies, procedures and SWMS
- Run toolbox talks, pre-starts and inductions for staff and contractors
- Investigate incidents, near misses and hazards, and follow corrective actions through to close-out
- Give HSE guidance and training to site teams




- Keep HSE records, observations and audit reports up to date
- Take part in safety committee meetings and continuous improvement
- Act as the company’s Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator

What you’ll bring

- A tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent
- At least 5 years in a health and safety role, ideally in civil construction
- A good working knowledge of Qld WHS legislation and ISO management systems
- Experience with site inspections, audits and incident investigations
- A White Card and a current Australian driver’s licence (essential)
- Incident investigation or risk assessment certificates (a bonus)
- Robust communication, training and record-keeping skills
- A proactive, approachable attitude that solves problems
