About the role

McConnell Dowell is seeking a proactive and people-focused Human Resources Coordinator to join our team supporting an upcoming major civil infrastructure project in metropolitan Adelaide.

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Advisor, you’ll be embedded within the project team, providing day-to-day operational HR support across a diverse workforce of employees, consultants and contracting partners.

With a strong focus on resourcing, onboarding and HR administration, you’ll help keep the project workforce moving while supporting culture, wellbeing and a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

- Provide responsive operational HR support to project staff and leaders
- Support project resourcing activities in partnership with the recruitment team, including applicant shortlisting, coordinating interviews, providing feedback on candidates and maintaining candidate communications
- Administer onboarding, mobilisation and offboarding across the project workforce, including employees, consultants and contracting partners
- Support project culture, engagement and wellbeing initiatives, activities and events
- Support performance review processes and associated administration
- Prepare workforce reports and support ongoing resourcing and workforce planning activities
- Support HR audit requirements and maintain accurate project records

About you You’ll be an organised, approachable and resilient HR Coordinator who enjoys working close to the action and being part of a project team. You’ll be comfortable working autonomously, taking ownership of your work and using your initiative. You’ll also be able to stay calm, organised and responsive when priorities change.

You’ll bring

- Recent HR coordination or administration experience,



preferably in construction or a similar project-based environment
- Hands-on experience with recruitment, onboarding, mobilisation and general HR administration
- The ability to stay organised and manage changing priorities
- A strong eye for detail and confidence working with HR systems, employee records and workforce data
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Robust communication and relationship-building skills
- A practical, people-focused approach and an interest in contributing to a positive project culture
