About the Role

We are currently seeking candidates with substantial industry experience and expertise in electrical and electrotechnology to plan, develop and deliver high-quality training and assessment to students across a range of electrical, instrumentation, electronics and communications programs.

The Lecturer role involves delivering and assessing training, mentoring and supporting students, and maintaining current industry knowledge through ongoing career development. You will use your practical trade experience to equip students with the technical skills and knowledge required to install, test, fault-find, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment, preparing them for successful careers in the industry.

Security Installer and Open Cabler Registration endorsements are desirable or working towards.

Suitability Requirements To be considered suitable for this position, you will:

- Hold an Australian or equivalent qualification in the Electrical Field.



If your qualification has been obtained overseas, the Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU) offers a free assessment service to have your tertiary or higher education qualification(s) recognised.
- Have at least 5 years industry experience
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024) in line with the Registration Standards 2025. Applicants who do not yet hold the required VET qualification may still apply; however, the successful candidate must enrol in an approved training and assessment qualification and complete it within two years of commencing.
- Have relevant skills and experience to meet the selection criteria and role requirements as outlined in the JDF.

Eligibility Requirements and Other Conditions To be considered eligible for employment, you will:

- Possess current and valid Australian working rights (e.g. Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or an appropriate working visa). Please note, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Hold, or have the ability to obtain:
- Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Working With Children (WWC) Card
