As our Digital Solutions & AI practice continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Microsoft Purview Consultant with strong hands-on Purview expertise and broader Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 capabilities to join our Perth team.

This is an opportunity for a Microsoft specialist who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers and delivering solutions that make a genuine difference.

About the Role

Data governance, security and compliance are critical enablers of modern business. As regulatory expectations increase, cyber threats evolve and organisations accelerate their adoption of AI, effective information protection and data governance have never been more important.

Reporting to the Digital Solutions, Data & AI Lead, you’ll play a key role in designing, implementing and optimising Microsoft Purview solutions across customer environments. You’ll help organisations establish effective governance and compliance controls while strengthening their broader Microsoft cloud environments.

This is a hands-on consulting role with meaningful technical ownership, established customer engagements and opportunities to contribute to the continued growth of our Digital Solutions & AI practice.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Purview Delivery

- Design, configure and implement Microsoft Purview solutions across enterprise and government customer environments.
- Implement information protection, sensitivity labels, data classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls.
- Support data governance, compliance management, records management and information lifecycle requirements.
- Configure Purview monitoring, reporting and relevant data discovery and classification capabilities.
- Help customers identify, manage and protect sensitive and personally identifiable information.
- Troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues and recommend practical improvements.

Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Solutions

- Work across Microsoft 365, Azure and associated cloud infrastructure technologies.
- Support secure cloud configuration, integration and optimisation.
- Apply Microsoft security and compliance best practices across customer environments.
- Work with identity,



access management and security technologies to support effective Purview implementations.
- Contribute to technical troubleshooting, solution improvements and ongoing support across multiple Microsoft technology domains.

Customer Engagement and Technical Consulting

- Work directly with customers to understand their business, security, information governance and compliance requirements.
- Translate complex technical challenges into practical, achievable solutions.
- Contribute to discovery workshops, solution design, implementation planning and technical delivery.
- Prepare technical documentation, configuration workbooks, test plans and operational handover materials.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer and customer support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Digital Solutions teams to deliver integrated customer outcomes.
- Contribute to repeatable solutions, technical best practices and continuous improvement across our Microsoft portfolio.

About You

Microsoft Purview experience is essential. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate genuine, hands-on experience designing, implementing and supporting Purview solutions, rather than simply having familiarity with the platform.

You’ll bring:

- Strong practical experience with Microsoft Purview, particularly information protection, DLP, data governance and compliance.
- Solid Microsoft 365 and Azure technical capabilities.
- Experience with Microsoft cloud infrastructure, identity and security technologies.
- An understanding of data classification, information governance and sensitive data management.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, including the Australian Essential Eight.
- Experience delivering technical solutions in customer-facing or consulting environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical teams.

Microsoft Certifications We’re particularly interested in candidates who have invested in developing and validating their Microsoft expertise.

Priority certifications

- SC-401 – Microsoft Information Security Administrator Associate: Relevant to information protection, data security, DLP and Microsoft Purview.
- AZ-104 – Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate: Demonstrates Azure administration, infrastructure and cloud platform capability.

Candidates holding both certifications, alongside proven hands-on Microsoft Purview delivery experience, will be particularly attractive.

Other highly regarded certifications

- MS-102 – Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert
- SC-300 – Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate




- AZ-305 – Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- SC-100 – Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert

You don’t need to hold every certification. We’re interested in the combination of relevant credentials, practical experience and the ability to deliver quality customer outcomes.

Additional Experience We Value

Experience in any of the following areas will be highly regarded:

- Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Microsoft Fabric and broader data platforms.
- Governance controls in regulated environments.
- Australian Privacy Principles and data protection requirements.
- Government and enterprise customer engagements.
- Systems integrators, managed services providers or technology consultancies.

An Australian Government security clearance may be beneficial for some customer engagements but is not essential. You must be eligible and willing to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance if required.
