Brief of the requirement:

An experienced Oracle DBA to assist with reviewing our Oracle Exadata X8M workplace and helping shape our X11M target-state design.

Specifically looking for someone who can:

- Validate and confirm the existing technical debt across the X8M environment.
- Prioritise remediation activities based on risk, control impact, implementation effort, and urgency.
- Determine which improvements should be implemented immediately in X8M and which should be incorporated into the X11M target-state design, recognising that the X11M deployment is approaching and avoiding unnecessary duplicated effort.
- Provide practical recommendations that balance risk reduction, operational effectiveness, compliance obligations, and delivery timelines

The ideal candidate will have strong Oracle Exadata experience, a solid understanding of IT General Controls (e.g. backup and recovery) and PCI DSS requirements, and be capable of both assessing the environment and driving remediation outcomes where required.
