The opportunity

We're partnering with an established Australian business to find an experienced Senior Finance Officer who's ready to take ownership, support a small finance team and work closely with the CFO.

What you'll be doing

Reporting directly to the CFO,



you'll help keep the finance function running smoothly while supporting and guiding the team around you.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing month-end processes, journals, reconciliations and financial reporting

- Overseeing day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations

- Preparing cash flow reports and supporting budgets and forecasts

- Reviewing financial information, identifying discrepancies and maintaining accuracy

- Supporting inventory reconciliations and financial controls

- Mentoring, training and providing constructive feedback to finance team members

- Working closely with the CFO to maintain efficient processes and consistent standards

- Identifying opportunities for improvement once you've developed a solid understanding of the business

It's a varied, hands-on role where no two days will look exactly the same.

What we're looking for

We're keen to speak with experienced finance professionals who know their way around the numbers and enjoy being part of a team.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Experience as a Senior Finance Officer, Senior Accountant, Assistant Finance Manager or similar

- Strong month-end accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting experience

- A solid understanding of AP, AR,



cash flow and financial controls

- Confidence using Excel and accounting systems

- Experience mentoring, supervising or supporting junior finance staff

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities

- A practical, approachable communication style and willingness to get involved

Experience working across multiple entities or with inventory accounting would be a bonus!
