Harrison Barratt Group has partnered with a fire services contractor highly regarded across the industry, working on a wide range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects throughout Sydney, and is seeking experienced passive technicians and fire door carpenters.

About the Role
You'll be working on a variety of sites, playing a key role in ensuring buildings meet essential fire safety and compliance standards.

Passive Technician

- Install and maintain fire-rated penetrations, bulkheads, and collars across a range of services
- Apply fire-rated sealants, mortar, and other passive fire systems in line with manufacturer specifications
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to identify passive fire requirements
- Carry out remedial and upgrade works on existing passive fire systems
- Ensure all works comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), AS 1530, AS 1905, and relevant Australian Standards
- Complete accurate compliance documentation and photographic records for each job

Fire Door Carpenter

- Install, repair, and adjust fire-rated door sets, frames, and hardware
- Carry out compliance upgrades on existing fire doors to bring them up to standard
- Fit intumescent seals,



hinges, closers, and other fire door hardware
- Carry out general carpentry works related to fire door installation and rectification
- Inspect and report on non-compliant doors, providing rectification recommendations
- Work to relevant Australian Standards and manufacturer specifications

About You

- Previous experience in passive fire protection and/or fire door carpentry (trade qualification highly regarded for carpentry applicants)
- Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
- Comfortable reading technical drawings and specifications
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- White Card essential
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload across multiple sites
