As Senior Catering Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating daily catering operations, supporting your team and ensuring food service standards are consistently maintained. You will work collaboratively with catering and hospital teams to deliver safe, efficient and customer-focused services that contribute to a positive patient experience.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate daily catering and food service operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to catering staff
- Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control and service standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, infection prevention and workplace health and safety requirements
- Assist with staff rostering, shift coordination, training and performance support
- Monitor stock levels, supplies and equipment to support efficient operations and minimise waste
- Respond professionally to customer feedback and resolve service issues promptly
- Work closely with hospital departments and stakeholders to meet operational requirements and maintain high service standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across catering processes and service delivery

About you

You are a proactive and service-oriented professional who can lead by example, manage competing priorities and motivate a team to achieve excellent results.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in a senior catering, food service or hospitality coordination role
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to support and develop team members
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- A customer-focused approach and a genuine commitment to service excellence
- Confidence using relevant computer systems and administrative tools
- Flexibility to meet operational requirements, including rostered shifts where applicable
- Experience in healthcare, hospital catering or another highly regulated food service environment will be highly regarded
