The prospect

We’re looking for an experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant who enjoys being close to their clients and wants more than just another compliance-heavy accounting role.

You’ll manage a portfolio of privately owned businesses, family groups and high-net-worth clients, working closely with Partners and becoming a trusted adviser rather than simply producing the numbers.

There’s plenty of technical work, of course — but there’s also real scope to provide advice, solve problems, build relationships and influence outcomes.

You’ll be involved in:

- Managing your own portfolio of privately owned businesses,



family groups and high-net-worth clients
- Providing proactive tax planning and strategic business advice
- Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance work
- Advising across business structures, restructures, CGT, Division 7A and broader Australian taxation matters
- Building genuine, long-term relationships with clients
- Mentoring and developing junior accountants within the team
- Working directly with Partners on more complex client engagements
- Contributing to business development and identifying opportunities to provide broader support to clients

Who we’re looking for

You’ll probably have around 10–15 years’ experience in Australian public practice and be comfortable independently managing client relationships and a portfolio.

Ideally, you’ll also bring:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Strong Australian taxation knowledge
- Experience working with privately owned businesses and high-net-worth clients
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Experience mentoring, coaching or reviewing junior team members
- A commercial mindset — you enjoy understanding the client’s business, not just completing their compliance




- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to have a laugh along the way
