Junior Solicitor – Data & Privacy and General Commercial

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Junior Solicitor with 2-5 years PQE to join our team, with a primary focus on Data & Privacy and General Commercial work. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career lawyer who is genuinely passionate about the advertising and marketing industry and excited to advise a broad range of national and international agencies and brands.

You will join a well-established firm with a loyal client base and a consistent flow of interesting work, while building practical expertise at the intersection of privacy, technology, commercial contracting, advertising, and marketing.

The Role

This is a full-time Junior Solicitor position based in either our North Sydney office. Working closely with our Principal Partners and senior lawyers, you will advise on a broad range of data and privacy, commercial, advertising, and marketing matters.

Your work may include privacy compliance and advisory matters, privacy policies and data-handling arrangements, commercial contracts, agency and client agreements, supplier and technology agreements, terms and conditions, and general commercial advice. You will be supported to develop your skills and confidence, take increasing ownership of matters,



engage directly with clients, and contribute to the growth of the practice.

About You

You are commercially minded, curious, and self-driven, with a genuine interest in Data & Privacy and General Commercial law. You are enthusiastic about the advertising and marketing industry and enjoy understanding how agencies and brands operate. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to a firm culture that values initiative, client relationships, and continuous learning.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has relevant post-admission experience as a junior solicitor, ideally involving privacy, commercial contracts, technology, advertising, marketing, or related advisory work.
- Is genuinely passionate about the advertising and marketing industry and keen to work with national and international agencies and brands.
- Is enthusiastic about developing their career in a boutique firm setting and building expertise in Data & Privacy and General Commercial law.
- Values autonomy, responsibility, skilled growth, and direct client contact within a flat hierarchical structure.

The successful candidate will:

- Assist with Data & Privacy matters, including privacy compliance, policies, data-handling arrangements, and related advice.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements for agencies, brands, suppliers, and technology providers.
- Provide practical general commercial advice, with growing autonomy and appropriate guidance.
- Build trusted client relationships and contribute to business development and firm-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with and learn from Principal Partners, senior lawyers, and mentors across the firm.
